After retiring and travelling around Australia for three years, we have since settled back down. During that time on the road, I observed many land-management problems and challenges across the country, and much of my writing now focuses on those issues.

I have recently published my second book on the forestry history of Fraser Island, Paradise Preserved: A History of Forestry on Fraser Island. Details about ordering the book are on the home page.

I am also working on my next book, which examines Australia’s retreat from bushfire mitigation and an erroneous focus on emergency response to bushfires. At this stage, the working title is Firestorm.
